Occupancy modelling - home range vs grid cell size

Darryl has often seen examples where researchers are using occupancy-based metrics and define the size of a sampling unit at the approximate scale of the home range, or territory size, of an individual of the focal species. In this video (from Shenzhen, China) Darryl explains why this isn't strictly necessary, and why it may often be a good idea to actually define a sampling unit to be much smaller.
